This biographical picture that was made for the 200th anniversary of Nikolai Gogol,is filmed in the unique style of the author Leonid Parfyonov. Documentary shows that the author of "Dead Souls", "The Inspector General" and "Taras Bulba" is not the founder of realism in Russian literature, but a modern and actual avant-garde writer who created works hitherto unprecedented, full of magic and phantasmagoria.

An adult man, forced to sacrifice communication with his family for the sake of success at work, invites his mother to a restaurant - to take a break from the hustle and bustle, chat with a loved one and finally get out of the state of permanent stress. But everything goes wrong at once - mom cannot figure out the menu, and the phone is torn from calls at work.

Laura, a single mother struggling with precarious financial circumstances, earns money by streaming live on a website with adult content. One day, she connects with a user who will change her life forever.

Follows a successful author of thriller books, who has been in a writing barrier for a long time and also an offer to publish a story in sequels in a newspaper fails to rescue him from the barrier. Salvation comes from the neighbor, Dr. Victor Guetta. Guetta asks Aviram to give his opinion on a story he wrote. Aviram, who hates requests of this kind, approaches the reading reluctantly and is amazed: this is the most beautiful story anyone has ever written. Aviram decides to steal the story. He sends the story to the system, not knowing what a whirlwind his life is about to enter as a result of the act.
